  • Cost of Entrance is £60 per team either by cheque made payable to: -

Prison Service Sports Association and posted to PSSA, PSC Newbold Revel, Rugby, Warwickshire, CV23 0TH or by bank transfer to the following: - Sort Code: 30-97-17 Account No: 00346342

  • Entry form attached below.



  • All participants must be members of the PSSA. Any entry forms without either membership numbers (these will be checked for correct ID), or incomplete membership forms will be refused entry.

  • Minimum term of membership is twelve months; early cancellation incurs a £25 fee.

  • Closing date for entry forms is August 8th, 2025.

  • Players must represent their own Establishment.

  • Players can represent other teams if their Establishment has not entered the competition, with the organiser’s permission.

  • If a players Establishment has been eliminated from the competition, they cannot then represent another Establishment 

  • Establishments can enter as many teams as they wish but not swap players from one team to another.

  • If Establishments are found to be breaking the rules they will be eliminated from the competition.

  • The festival will be played on a Group/ Round Robin basis, groups will be decided on points, then points difference, then points scored, then the result against each other and if all else fails a golden point. 

  • England Volleyball rules will apply.

  • Each team must provide at least one match ball and one set of bibs/ team kit

  • Any team failing to arrive on time for a game will concede the match and the opposition will be awarded the win.

  • All teams will be expected to demonstrate a level of professionalism in their behaviour and attitude – any individual or team falling foul of this will be eliminated from the competition.

  • Teams will consist of 6 players at a time on court with a squad of 9 attending per team

  • Mixed teams must always have 3 females and 3 males on the court during the games.

  • Each team will be scheduled for one player to carry out referee duties when their team is not playing.

The PSSA is a not for profit association set up for staff employed within HM Prison Service, Private Sector Prisons, and staff on long term contracts with external agencies working within establishments.

 

It’s all about having fun, getting active, taking part, and trying out sports.  It's not all about sport - we support many leisure activities too.
