Writer: PSSA AdminPSSA Admin

In 2023 PSSA Cycling will be hosting the Emergency Service National Cross-Country Championship on the 30th of July at Newnham Park, near Plymouth.

Newnham Park is a great XC venue hosting world cup races in the past and regular mountain bike races and festivals. The race will see the best mountain bike XC riders from Police, Fire, Prison, NHS, RNLI, Coast Guard and Mountain Rescue fight it out to claim the title of national champion. Club Chairman Simon said “ this is a great opportunity for us to host the other emergency services at a national race. We hope to have a great race and get the race back as a regular on the calendar following a 5-year absence. We hope to see a big field battle it out and see many prison staff racing. It’s going to be a great weekend”.

The race will also be sponsored by UK and current UCI pro team Saint Piran who will be providing the prices for all podium finishers as well as a little something for all that enter.
